Who are Betstar?

Betstar was started by the father and son bookmaking team of Michael and Alan Eskander in 2006. Michael Eskander was granted his first bookmaker’s license in 1984, fielding on the Melbourne Rails and more recently on the Sydney Rails. Son Alan received his first bookmaker’s license in 1995 and started fielding at Country races before being granted his Metropolitan rails license in 1998.

Michael and Alan Eskander started Eskander’s Betstar, a Corporate Bookmaking operation licensed and based in Darwin, Northern Territory in 2006.
